POSTPONEMENTS due to COVID19
LATEST UPDATE - 23 September 2020
To all our volunteers, members and patrons – 23rd September 2020
As you are no doubt aware, COVID19 has reared up once more. The government has recently introduced revised social distancing guidelines to try and minimise the spread of this horrible disease. The next six months was mentioned as the period during which restrictions would need to be in place. Following the “rule of six” and the various guidelines reimposed on the non-professional performing arts sector, TOADS Theatre Company’s management committee has concluded that rehearsals/performances will not be possible until Spring 2021. The result is that ALL productions up to and including April (Laying The Ghost) will have to be postponed/cancelled with immediate effect. Season 2020/2021 will now consist of two productions – Ladykillers (May) and Ladies’ Day (June). The Bully Wee Band (29th January), Tadpoles’ production of The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon (10th to 13th February), and Take A Chance On Us (19th March) are also cancelled.
All tickets booked for the cancelled productions will be refunded. Theatre club members (season ticket holders) will be refunded £40 per member. Please bear with us as we contact all those patrons due refunds.
The situation re COVID19 is very fluid and, depending on circumstances and rules in force at any given time, we hope to bring you some ad hoc performances/readings over the coming few months. Nothing definite has yet been planned and any proposed performance will be with script in hand as protracted rehearsals are not currently possible. We will email patrons and update our website as soon as we have anything in place.
